Senior Automation Tester / Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer who will also take on the responsibilities of a Quality Engineer in a unified, hands‑on leadership role.
You will design, develop, and execute test automation while leading quality initiatives, coordinating manual test efforts for critical business scenarios, and improving testing practices across the organisation.

This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented engineer with deep technical knowledge and a passion for driving efficiency, test scalability, and excellence in software delivery.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts for both back‑end and front‑end systems.
• Execute manual testing to validate key functionalities, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test strategies aligned with project requirements.
• Implement and track quality metrics to measure product stability and test effectiveness.
• Lead process and workflow improvements that optimise test execution and release efficiency.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high standards.
• Conduct performance and load testing (e.g. JMeter, LoadRunner) and API / back‑end testing (e.g. REST Assured).
• Evaluate new testing tools and technologies to continuously enhance automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop effective test strategies and deliver high‑quality software solutions.

• Proven experience as a Senior Automation Test Engineer or Quality Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Java for test automation.
• Practical experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Expertise in web, API and database testing, including REST Assured and Postman.
• Ability to create and maintain detailed test plans, strategy documents and quality reports.
• Hands‑on experience with manual testing of complex applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and version control tools (Git).
• Strong leadership skills — ability to mentor, set standards and drive quality initiatives within teams.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a proactive problem‑solving mindset.

• Familiarity with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud testing solutions.
• Exposure to BDD / Cucumber frameworks for behaviour‑driven testing.
• Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, Xray, Zephyr) and reporting dashboards.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams with continuous delivery pipelines.
