As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design and deliver high-quality, performant data pipelines and contribute to big data platform development for global financial services. You will work with cutting-edge technologies in Spark, Scala, Airflow, and cloud environments, solving complex engineering challenges while following Agile and DevOps best practices.

What you'll be doing

Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines using technologies like Scala/Spark, Airflow, Hive.
Participate in code reviews, testing strategies, and deployment automation.
Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to deliver data lake and analytics solutions across regions.
Monitor and improve data processing workflows for performance and scalability.
Ensure compliance with security controls, SDLC, and internal governance standards.

Who we're looking for

5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, working in Big Data ecosystems.
Strong hands-on experience in Scala/Spark development.
Proficiency in SQL and Big Data tools (Hive, Airflow, Cloudera).
Experience implementing CI/CD workflows and DevOps tools.
Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred).
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex data systems.
Fluent in English (C1+) and excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of Databricks, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes.
Exposure to microservices and REST APIs.
Understanding of cybersecurity practices, code quality, and automation.
