Join Our Client’s Team as a Senior Software Engineer – iSeries Specialist

Do you have strong experience in IBM iSeries / RPG development and want to work on a platform supporting wealth management services? We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our client’s team, providing production support and development in a critical post-trade investment services environment.

What you'll be doing

Deliver reliable production support during UK business hours, ensuring service availability per SLAs.
Diagnose and resolve incidents and problems, managing support tickets and prioritising backlog items.
Perform BAU operational activities: data archiving, role swaps, backup/restore, security reviews, audits and upgrades.
Contribute to Agile delivery: requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing and deployment.
Create and maintain technical documentation aligned with standards and engineering best practices.
Collaborate with global teams and business stakeholders to ensure effective issue resolution and continuous improvements.

Who we're looking for

Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Proven background in application support and/or software development within corporate or global environments.
Solid hands-on experience with IBM iSeries and ILE RPG; knowledge of SQLRPG / RPG Free Format / API integration is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles.
Fluent English (written and spoken), great communication skills for working with global teams.
Knowledge of wealth management or banking processes is a plus.
