Backend Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our Messaging Delivery Platform team, responsible for delivering critical capabilities that enable communication with customers through multiple outbound channels. The platform is in the process of modernization and standardization, bringing opportunities to work on distributed systems using modern technology stacks in an Agile product team environment.

This role ensures delivery of high-quality, efficient, and secure solutions aligned with enterprise requirements, technical best practices, and industry standards.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality applications and distributed systems based on agreed requirements.
• Work within an agile product team to implement solutions using modern technologies and continuously evolve to adopt new paradigms.
• Ensure high code quality, adhering to best practices, industry standards, and internal definitions of done.
• Conduct unit testing and contribute to establishing appropriate automated test coverage (TDD principles).
• Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders, maintaining clear and proactive communication.
• Define and govern technical quality standards, contributing to consistent platform modernization.
• Provide innovative technical solutions for complex business challenges while ensuring compliance and security standards.
• Promote engineering excellence through coaching and mentoring.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Java (8/11+) and Spring Boot, delivering enterprise-grade applications.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
• Strong practical experience with Cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
• Knowledge and implementation experience of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins (shared libraries), Maven, Groovy, and Agile practices.
• In-depth understanding of API design standards and best practices:
  • Swagger and OpenAPI 3.0, REST, JSON, Microservices.
• Experience with authentication/authorization frameworks (OAuth 2), and API gateways (e.g., Kong API Gateway).
• Familiarity with Agile testing discipline including TDD, as well as solid experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, providing innovative and scalable designs.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying informed on current tools and technologies.

• Exposure to observability solutions and performance optimization.
