Programme Director

Programme Director

At Mindbox we connect top IT talents with technology projects for leading enterprises across Europe.

We are seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead large‑scale data and analytics transformation programmes across enterprise technology, data, and business domains. The ideal candidate will provide strategic, delivery, and governance leadership across complex portfolios involving platform modernisation, cloud migration, data governance, risk remediation, and advanced analytics.

This is a pivotal senior role responsible for shaping direction, orchestrating integrated execution, and ensuring measurable business outcomes across multiple operating regions.

Sounds like your kind of challenge?

What you'll be doing

Strategic and Transformation Leadership

  • Own the enterprise‑level data and analytics transformation vision, strategic roadmap, and benefits realisation.
  • Define clear success metrics and implementation principles aligned with data architecture, risk appetite, and business priorities.
  • Set enterprise priorities across modernisation initiatives — such as platform migration, code remediation, and legacy retirement.
  • Drive measurable improvements in resilience, engineering standards, governance, and business value.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a senior transformation representative, partnering with executives across technology, data, risk, and business functions.
  • Align on target states, funding, sequencing, risk management, and enterprise‑level decisions.
  • Lead executive updates and governance forums, presenting status, risks, trade‑offs, and remediation actions.

Integrated Delivery and Execution

  • Direct programme portfolios by setting standards for scope, budget, milestones, and quality.
  • Oversee migration and decommissioning activities, ensuring proper testing, readiness, and risk controls.
  • Maintain oversight of product roadmaps and operational handover activities while empowering Programme Managers to execute.
  • Resolve cross‑programme dependencies and escalated delivery risks.

Governance, Risk and Control

  • Establish and own transformation‑level governance frameworks, assurance and quality standards.
  • Act as the final escalation point for delivery risks and issues, ensuring timely and evidence‑based decisions.
  • Govern change control, risk acceptance, and exceptions against policy and strategic tolerances.
  • Provide transparent reporting on financials, benefits, dependencies, and delivery confidence.

Financial and Resource Ownership

  • Own investment planning, capacity model, and financial forecasting across the transformation portfolio.
  • Partner with architecture, engineering, and product teams to develop realistic resource forecasts and business cases.
  • Govern funding requests and recommend re‑sequencing or resource reallocation based on value, cost, and risk.

People and Delivery Leadership

  • Lead and develop distributed teams of Programme Managers and senior delivery specialists.
  • Set clear performance expectations, drive delivery discipline, and build a collaborative culture of accountability.
  • Coach leaders to strengthen delivery capability, governance consistency, and professional development.

Supplier and Stakeholder Management

  • Direct supplier strategy and commercial negotiations, holding vendors accountable for delivery, cost, compliance and service.
  • Ensure exit strategies, SLAs, and risk controls are embedded in supplier management plans.

Adoption and Sustainability

  • Lead the transition of new capabilities into steady‑state operations — including readiness, training, and support.
  • Ensure clear ownership for post‑implementation governance and continuous improvement.
  • Track business adoption and benefit realisation, taking corrective action where necessary.

Note: Detailed project information will be shared during the recruitment process.
