Join Our Client’s Team as an ETL Engineering (Delivery) Lead!

Are you an experienced Data Engineering Delivery Leader with strong background in ETL solutions, data integration, and banking data environments? Our client is looking for an ETL Engineering (Delivery) Lead to lead the end-to-end delivery of transformative data solutions across multiple business use cases.

This role combines technical leadership, agile delivery management, and hands-on expertise in ETL design principles, data governance, and process automation, ensuring robust, secure, and compliant solutions.

What you'll be doing

1) Delivery Leadership / Scrum Master

Ensure an end-to-end delivery roadmap for Data Transformations.
Lead and organize work for a team of 3–10 ETL/ELT engineers.
Manage delivery planning, prioritization, RAID controls, and governance.
Validate BA/business requirements for completeness and fitness for purpose.
Oversee technical dependency mapping and vendor coordination.

2) Business and Solution Analysis

Collaborate with BAs and business teams to capture and document requirements.
Sign off on functional and technical specifications.
Design and enforce transverse ETL principles: data lineage, CDC, duplication control, regulatory retention.
Liaise with Data Architects and Product Owners for data model alignment.
Document end-to-end data process flows for compliance and performance.

3) IT System Ownership and RTB Responsibility

Maintain proactive ownership of technology risks, incidents, and controls.
Manage RTB (Run the Bank) processes including root-cause analysis, defect management, and upgrades.

Who we're looking for

Experience & Skills:

5+ years in Data Engineering roles with proven Lead responsibilities.
Strong experience with Banking/Financial Services Data environments.
Demonstrated success as Software Delivery Lead in complex data-driven transformations.
Practical experience in translating high-level business needs into target ETL technical designs, mappings, and process documentation.
Expertise in ETL tools: IBM Datastage, Informatica, Talend.
Knowledge in GCP, Oracle, Python, Spark, Shell scripting.
Proven ability to manage data integration and migration projects involving data warehouses.
Strong knowledge of data governance, lineage, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and risk-control mindset.

Additional Nice-to-Haves

Experience establishing ETL templates and design standards.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration for ETL deployments.
