DevOps Engineer

Join our client's team, where you'll play a key role in shaping a large-scale Identity & Access Management transformation programme at one of the world's leading global financial institutions. Your contribution will help deliver high-impact solutions in cybersecurity – enterprise IAM at global scale, built on modern cloud-native architecture.

You'll step in as a DevOps Engineer, working closely with IAM architects, security engineers, platform teams, and application owners to automate deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of IAM platforms and integrations.

Sounds like your kind of challenge? 

• Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for IAM components, policies, connectors, microservices, and integrations
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) for IAM infrastructure, identity policies, directories, and supporting platforms; ensuring consistent, repeatable environments compliant with architectural standards
• Enabling automated testing, security scanning, and controlled deployments across DEV/TEST/PROD environments; driving continuous improvement of IAM release processes
• Deploying IAM services and microservices on Kubernetes (GKE), cloud-native platforms, and serverless environments; managing containerisation, service mesh integrations, certificates, and secrets for IAM workloads
• Developing scripts and automation for account lifecycle operations, access provisioning, and system integrations
• Supporting data pipeline engineering (Kafka/PubSub) and graph platform operations (Neo4j) as part of the IAM ecosystem
• Embedding security into the build and deployment process: vulnerability scanning, secrets detection, code quality checks, and Zero Trust compliance
• Collaborating with IAM architects, cybersecurity teams, and application owners on design and integration requirements; maintaining documentation for pipelines, IaC, and deployment patterns

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (core, GCP provisioning, policy as code)
• Containerisation & Kubernetes: Docker, GKE, Helm/Kustomize
• CI/CD engineering: pipeline authoring, artefact management, testing automation, deployment strategy
• DevSecOps & platform security: security scanning, IAM/identity, network security, compliance and Zero Trust principles
• Data pipeline & streaming infrastructure: Kafka/PubSub basics, schema registry, monitoring
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across security, engineering, and operations teams
• Excellent communication, documentation, and Agile/Scrum working practices (Jira, Jira Service Desk)

Nice to have:

• Experience with graph platform engineering (Neo4j, GDS/APOC, DR/backup)
• Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) and broader IAM concepts
• Experience working in large-scale, global enterprise IT environments across multiple countries and time zones
• Background in release engineering and governance: change management, regionalisation, data residency, conditional access
