Automation Test Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer (API) with strong Java expertise to drive test automation for back-end services and integration layers. You’ll be part of a collaborative QA community, contributing to continuous improvements in automation strategy, frameworks, and tooling across multiple products and teams.

This is a fully remote role with a focus on API testing, quality engineering, and automation excellence within an agile, cross-functional environment.

What you'll be doing

Design, implement, and execute integration and end-to-end automated tests.
Develop and maintain API testing frameworks and automation pipelines.
Participate in release processes and provide QA sign‑offs.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, ensuring high‑quality test data and environment setup.
Continuously improve automation coverage and test efficiency.

Who we're looking for

Strong coding skills in Java (Core Java, Maven) and experience with Spring Framework.
Hands‑on work with API testing frameworks such as REST Assured / JUnit.
Experience with Cucumber (BDD, Gherkin syntax) and in‑sprint test automation.
Proficiency with GIT, Jenkins, and Jira.
In‑depth understanding of REST API types (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) and HTTP/JSON protocols.
Familiarity with message schemas (RAML) and request/response mechanisms.
Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments.
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Nice to have:

Knowledge of service virtualization / STUBs.
Familiarity with tools like Postman, REST Client, or Anypoint.
Understanding of retail banking processes or financial products.
